About Poppy

Very cute and playful Shiba Inu puppy. She is a pure bred dog with all documents and comes from a well-respected breeder in the Portland area. She does not have the temperament we thought we would see when we chose this breed, and it is not working out for our family, mostly with our 3 yo son, but it's affecting the whole family dynamic at this point. Very person-specific and situation-dependent behavior. almost entirely white fur, 16 lbs right now. All baby teeth are gone, and just spayed this week. She will be a great dog in the right situation, we just don't have the time and energy resources that it takes to keep her stimulated, and she deserves a better life. We thought she was going to be more aloof and independent, I guess maybe we didn't do enough research. She is really kind of the exact opposite, needs almost constant interaction and does not do well with being crated even for just a few hours, especially in the evening. We do not have any other dogs or pets. The donation fee is 10% of her initial cost from the breeder.
