Courtesy Posting: EMERGENCY! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE OPEN THEIR HOME TO FOSTER OR ADOPT FOR THE HOLIDAYS!? Transport and vetting can be arranged. EMERGENCY- TIJUANA, MEXICO (JUST SOUTH OF S CAL BORDER) - 2 FRIENDLY GOLDEN RETRIEVER/CHOW (?) LOOKING MIXES DUMPED ON STREET FOR SOME TIME, RELYING ON SCRAPS WHEN RARELY LEFT. DOGS ARE EASY TO HANDLE AND SWEET. WE ARE IN NEED OF FOSTERS for a RESCUE TO BE ABLE TO HELP, OR PERMANENT HOMES - CAN ANYONE OFFER HELP AND OR TO DONATE TO VETTING, RESCUE, TRANSPORT, ETC. ??? RESCUES NEED A FOSTER! We were contacted about this dire situation where these two handsome but very neglected male retriever/chow looking mixes were left to fend for themselves on the streets of Tijuana, where they are now at risk for starvation or to die some other horrible way. Currently, they are sleeping on a sidewalk without shelter from sun or rain. We had someone leave some food several times when they could, but they do not live that close by and therefore can only check on them or leave food and water periodically. Other new dogs and people came to get their food and water, it is unclear if the other dogs have owners. The prior owner seems to have dumped these two a while back (as they have been seen for a while like this), and someone burned the mattress they were laying on that they seemed to be originally dumped with. Despite their awful situation, the person/good sam who contacted us was able to pet them and easily touch their mouths as seen in video we have. These are gentle dogs. The good sam can go back to get them if someone can please take them or even just one in (and she or we will then arrange to get them shots, etc as needed). But%BD'%BD|. we need fosters, or homes, and or anyone who can offer any help whatsoever. For any rescue to help, they need a foster and place for a dog to go. We already had many rescues tell us this. They do not have to go together to same foster or home, although that would be ideal if someone can offer a home to both. If you can help in any way, please contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist with their placement so they aren't left to die as it is unclear how much longer they can survive like this.
