About Luna

Very sweet girl. Found her without any collars or identification, she is not microchipped. We are looking to find her a forever home. She was found in Northern California and we have been caring for her and giving her a safe place, however, we do not have to ability to permanently care for her. We are unfamiliar with her background and can only assume she has been abused/neglected judging by the state we found her in. She is not spayed, and was fully vaccinated on 12/16/24 and examined. The vet predicts she is between 1 to 1 1/2 years old. She is very friendly towards our cat and dog. She has done well in the crate while we are at work (typically for 6-8 hours a day). She is potty trained, and currently we are working on training with loose leash walking, as well as some threshold work (running out the door), basic tricks, and recall. She is very smart and responsive to our voice/tone. She knows 'sit' and 'give me your paw.' We have not noticed any single area that is 'sensitive' to touch, and have not noticed any alarming food possessive behaviors. My dog and her have been able to eat treats alongside each other, and my dog has eaten from her bowl without a problem. She does tend to INHALE her food if she does not have a slow feeder/enrichment type of activity. We can't speak to how she plays too much, since she has not engaged too much with toys when offered. We are trying to shape up some play skills. Ideally, I think she would thrive most in a single-dog household. She loves people, and attention so sharing the attention amongst other dogs is not her favorite thing to do! The adoption fee can be discussed, we just want to be sure she goes to a good home.
