I believe this is a mastiff. Male. I'm guessing around 120lbs (definitely over 100). I found his crossing the freeway in Stockton on 12/16/24. No chip. He was wearing a short scarf with a small rope attached to it as a leash/collar. I believe he came from a homeless encampment and somehow wondered off. He does not know the word treat- it doesn't register when I say it. He stays by me around the house and likes people- I don't think he's ever roamed in his life due to the short leash he was on and he doesn't play (don't think a ball has ever been thrown to him). He's very skinny, calm, quiet, does not jump. I drove with him for over 2 hours with stops- not a peep. I opened all my car doors to get him to come out when I got home and he stayed inside for a bit of time. He's very sweet and gentle! Looking for a good home!! I don't want to give him to a shelter because I don't think he'll have a chance as everyone adopts small dogs over large ones. I want him to have a better life than what he's known so far. No adoption fee if he goes to good home with family and backyard.
