About Ferret

This is biggie. Biggie was surrendered to one of our fosters. Because his owner had recently passed. The owner's sister, tried her very best to maintain his care. However, biggie became extremely depressed and refuse to eat his normal diet. Lacking the sufficient funds and concern for Biggies health she surrendered him. He has since gained 7 ounces in weight and has energy again. Biggie's backstory is a sad one indeed. Before his late owners passed, he was adopted from nc state, he was part of a research project there. When they got him his butt and arm were bald. They picked him up from a prison cell like room with 100 other ferrets. They had no toys enrichment or anything. Just a bowl of pellets in the middle of the room and some water. He has ptsd and freaks out if you come near him with gloves. He is neutered chipped but owners never logged in to the site. A typical day for him is, when the foster gets up early mornings, feed and water him, handles the other fosters needs he is in his cage until then due to the 4 dogs, When they get done they let him run around the house for a few hours, then rotates the dogs. Biggie loves stuffed animals and those little balls with bells in them, he loves to roll in his bin of macaroni and will show you just how hard he can bite on chicken thighs. While having experienced all that trauma, he is still a very sweet and rambunctious little one. While the foster has done a great job, bringing his weight and health back to normal. He is unable to keep him much longer, Because Biggies temporary cage is not very big so free roam is substituted for enrichment. However he has shown predatory interest in two other foster animals two guine pig brothers.
