This smiling boy is Ryan. He is 4 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Ryan is a goofy guy and loves sleeping in some weird positions. Upside down in a dog bed or with his head hanging off a recliner are two of his favorites. Ryan does well with other dogs and especially likes the ladies. He absolutely adores people and loves to be petted. Ryan enjoys walks and car rides, he just wants to be with his people. Ryan's foster parents DNA tested him. He is a supermutt. He is mostly Great Pyrenees with some Pit Bull, Chihuahua, American Eskimo, Neapolitan Mastiff, Fox Terrier, Lab, Chow, Cane Corso, and Australian Shepherd mixed in. The Pyrenees explains his coat, it's short but soft as a bunny. Ryan's life has not been easy. He was born with bad hips and was brought into a Missouri shelter in July. He was on the euthanasia list because of his hips. We stepped in and brought him into rescue. Ryan had Femoral Head Ostectomies on both hips. The ball and neck of his femur were removed. Now, he's pain-free and ready to live his best life! His muscles have formed a 'false joint,' and he can do everything a normal dog can do! If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be by your side, Ryan is the dog for you! Ryan is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He is very well house trained and is kennel trained. If you would like to meet Ryan please complete the adoption application on our website: furfunrescue.org.
