This gorgeous kitten mitten is Eden, an approximately three month old who appears to be a Maine Coon/Domestic Mix. Eden became one of my rescues just before midnight on September 14, 2024. Her finder posted a photo of itty bitty Eden and her brother, Aiden, after hearing their plaintive meows. They were located just outside a slightly open garage door. The finder initially gently moved them back under the door only to return to find them again just outside the door still crying. She then took them to her residence to try to bottle feed them. Unsuccessful in getting either of them to take a bottle, she reached out on a Facebook site begging for help. After responding to her plea, I headed out to her location carrier in hand to pick up the tiny two pack of kittens. Eden was the smaller of the two weighing in at .50 ounces. She eagerly bottle fed and once full happily snuggled up with her brother in a nest of fuzzy blanket in their carrier. While Eden's brother packed on the ounces Eden was slow to hit the pound mark and required round the clock bottle feeding even after she was eating kitten gruel on her own in order to supplement her. A perpetual smiler, Eden would happily look up at me as I woke her up every three hours for her bottle and syringe feedings. Even once she began chewing on the bottle nipple requiring me to take breaks during her feedings to be sure the nipple remained attached to her bottle, Eden would gleefully look up at me with an ear to ear smile as if to say okay let's take another go at it as I am still hungry. Her bright eyes cheering me on in my exhaustion. Once she became a pounder she was absolutely tickled and quite proud of herself as she then mastered condo climbing, turbo scratcher twirling and other milestones her brother had already achieved. Her once stubby bowed legs straightened and running, jumping and cavorting with her brother and buddy Marzipan became her favorite pastimes during her waking hours. Like her brother Eden is one of the dearest kittens I have had in my over thirty years of rescue and continues to be a perpetual smiler. She enjoys romping and stomping with kitten brother Aiden and their best buddy Marzipan, playing chase and batting springs and jingle balls across the floor. As a teeny tiny she eagerly befriended my dogs often snuggle up against their tummies cocooning herself. She will snuggle in my lap once tired by her romp and stomps burrowing in one of the alpaca blankets. She is loaded with personality/purrsonality. Her coat is super soft and silky to the touch, a combination of stripes and spots. Her whiskers stretch for miles and she has beautiful long ear tuffs and toe tuffs on her chunky paws. An all round affable kitten girl, Eden will need another kitten or younger kitty to be her playmate/snuggle buddy and would be tickled to be adopted as a pair with one of her current besties, Aiden or Marzipan. Eden was spayed on December 4, 2024, combo tested negative on that same date for both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, received her rabies and distemper vaccinations and a microchip. She was successfully treated for worms, fleas and coccidia as little kitten girl. If you are interested in making this dear girl a member of your family, please feel free to contact me. I do when possible like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters.
