About Duke

Duke is the sweetest boy. I rescued him 3 years ago from severe abuse and neglect, and brought him back to life. He suffers from a condition known as megaesophagous. This requires him to be fed upright in what is called a Bailey chair (provided by me), and to be on regular medication and specific food. Please research this disease before considering adopting Duke. He is my soul dog, but I can no longer provide financially the medical needs he deserves. I am heartbroken over this, but want him to life his best life. He needs enrichment and should be in a home as an only dog. He can be reactive to other dogs, but with the right training he would be fine. I will give you all the information you need on managing his disease and his current heartworm positive health issue.
