LANCASTER, OHIO BUT WILL DRIVE 3+ HRS TO MEET NEW PARENT. 7 Y/O FEMALE SHEPHERD/BEAGLE. Her name is 'RUBIX'/'RUBY '. Background: Has been with the same Shepherd parent for 7 years. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids, AMAZING! . NOT good with dogs. Good with cats. House trained. NOT Crate trained. Please DO NOT CRATE. Has severe Separation Anxiety and will try to chew out of the crate or confined areas. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY. HIGH PREY DRIVE . Currently on RETRIEVER food. Weighs 65 lbs. Good with car rides. Loves: her family - cuddles - kisses - playing - running - kids - balls - playing catch. Personality: Incredibly kind and patient with babies, toddlers and young kids. Sweet and loving. Anxious. Protective. This is a very sad situation because Rubix is 7 years old and has been with the same family for 7 years. She is very intelligent and knows the Basic Commands. She is easy to train and eager to learn. She is very protective of her person with other dogs. She has never shown any aggression towards humans, but she will go after a dog if she thinks the dog is a threat to her person. The Current Shepherd Parent needs to re home Rubix because she has been attacking the other family dog and the Current Shepherd Parent fears she will not be able to break up the fight when the husband is at work. Rubix is not naturally aggressive, she is just protective. She will attack the other dog when the other dog growls at them for coming through the door not knowing that it is them. Rubix takes that as a threat to her people and she attacks. Rubix needs a NO other dog home and will thrive best with someone home 24/7. She has severe Separation Anxiety and will hurt herself if she is crated by trying to chew out of her crate or confined area. She will thrive best with someone who will train her to Free Roam. She is already pretty much trained to Free Roam in her Current Home, will just need to learn new boundaries in her new home. She will make a great companion for the right person.
