About Bandit

Australian Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Bandit is a sweet boy once he knows you and trusts you. He loves to cuddle and play with his Stuffies. ( stuffed animals) He is leary of men, since he was abused by men before. He loves to chase and play with cats, other dogs are hit or miss. Most dogs he just wants to play with once he feels safe. Unneutered. Males seems to be somewhat of an issue for him. Loves women and kids. Loves to go for walks does great with a harness, , car rides, run, play fetch chew on sticks/ wood from your wood pile. Lol just loves being outside. He originally was my brother's dog, and was very attached to my brother. But he's gone now. He was left in the care of my brother's roommate who started to abuse and neglect him. Locked him in his crate for an entire weekend alone, no food, water, or potty time. He tried to chew is way out of the crate and broke some teeth. He was not used to being locked in his crate, my brother and I never lock him in his crate. .He has access to his crate at all times we call It His' house. He just goes in there and lays down when he wants to feel safe or nap . The roommate was hitting, kicking him and taking away food as a punishment. With him being an Australian shepherd, he does like to heard smaller animals and children. He likes them to be right in front of him, they didn't like that. So he was punished for just being himself. He is very touchy now around his neck area, his feet and back legs. When I found all of this out I went and took him into my home and started taking care of him. He's always been around me very comfortable and productive with me. Very comfortable with my kids and granddaughter, And my cats, he's a great dog. He's very loving. I don't want to have to rehome him. However, I am now living in an apartment. That is no place for him, and he's been too aggressive towards the men in the apartment when I'm walking him. So my landlord suggested. I try to find him a suitable home.. He needs someone that can show him the love and patience he deserves. He put on weigh due to inactivity, i haven't been able to walk him much in months.Because he ran after a neighbor, (gentleman coming towards me) pulled me down and broke my ankle. So therefore he isn't getting the exercise he needs.Bandit is truly a wonderful companion for the right person. He just wants love %BD%9D%A4%BD%BD%8F
