Courtesy Posting: 12/13 DUE OUT AND CODE RED AT APPLE VALLEY ANIMAL SERVICES, Apple Valley, CA (So Cal) - ID #247563- RESCUE ONLY - NEEDS A FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE-pls contact Robin with questions or interest, as shared posts and comments may not been seen. We are in urgent need of finding a foster and rescue for this adorable male chow mix who was found as a stray and said to be roaming the area for weeks. Sadly, he is at one of the highest kill shelters in our state, and is not even listed anywhere on their site or as being adoptable. Instead, the shelter sent out a notice 12/10 asking for his rescue on 12/13, presumably when his stray hold is up (yet they have him listed nowhere if he had an owner looking for him). He seems to be Rescue only because he was said to have killed some chickens. Poor guy (and chickens), he was likely starving. This shelter typically euthanizes right after stray hold ends or once made available to rescues, which is 12/13. Therefore, if you may be interested in fostering, fostering to adopt, or helping in some other way (ie., pledging for his rescue), please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to find placement asap, and we can try to pair fosters or interested parties with a willing rescue group. Potential adopters and Rescue groups may contact the shelter directly at: 760-240-7555 for adoptions, or (760) 240-7000 ext. 7519 for rescue groups, AND also email [email protected] (if adopting, although we are unclear they will release him to an adopter), or if a rescue, email [email protected] - AND note his ID too. Once we get more information on his behavior or medical notes, or further pictures or video, we will update our post. For now, his facebook post is: https://www.facebook.com/783968124/posts/10166427775788125/?mibextid=cr9u03
