Kuzco is a big-hearted dog we adopted as a puppy in April 2021. He's full of love and adores attention but isn't always aware of his size! He'll happily lean his full weight (100+ lbs) into you for pets and cuddles, so he's best suited for a home with older kids or adults who can enjoy his affectionate nature without worry about accidental knockdowns. Kuzco is well-behaved with food-he's not food-aggressive, listens to 'no,' and has never shown any issues when we interact with his meals. That said, he has shown some defensiveness (growling) around his crate and food when our toddler gets too close to his safe spaces. For this reason, we believe Kuzco would thrive in a home without young children, where he can have his own space and build trust with older kids or adults. He's been around other dogs and cats occasionally and seems to enjoy their company, so we think he could do well in a home with other animals with proper introductions. Kuzco is looking for a family that can give him the love and attention he craves and a home where he can play tug-of-war, lounge in cozy spots, and enjoy plenty of companionship. He's a loyal, loving dog who would make a wonderful addition to the right home.
