About Murphy

Murphy is best described as a goofy and wacky boy! He loves to chase his ball around the yard, chew on his deer antlers, and cuddle with his family on the couch. Murphy also enjoys hiking around our local lakes, west texas canyons, arkansas mountains, and anywhere else his family will take him! He is 65lbs and his clumsiness makes him a bit of a wrecking ball, so we would not recommend him around young children. He knows a variety of commands including sit, waiting, place, off, go to crate, come, bang 'play dead', shake, and many more. Murphy is great with dogs that are smaller than him, but he is fearful/defensive around dogs that are larger than he is. He currently has a little brother/best friend who is a mini Aussie. NO CATS. Murphy is a great boy, but we need to find him a new home because he has not adapted well to our new baby, even though we have tried for several months now. Murphy pulls when on walks and loves to chase after squirrels/cats. We have used a Rover on multiple occasions when we leave town and Murphy does great with them. He is a great dog for someone who wants a best friend and is either single or does not have young kids!
