Four years ago, Shadow was born and found herself at an animal shelter. She was adopted at 7 months old to a senior couple. She was a playmate for their dog until that dog passed away. She has been a valued, cared for member of their family until now. The couple both have severe health issues and unfortunately, Shadow has become more than the wife can care for. Shadow is a female lab mix who weighs about 56 lbs. She is a bit overweight right now. She is black with a brindle undercoat. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, and heartworm tested negative, having been to the vet in October 2024. At times, she may show some itchiness due to allergies. She has been fine with people, kids, and other dogs her size. She walks well on a leash, is well mannered, and is housebroken. Shadow is calm, but would love an active family who can take her places and go for lots of walks. It may take a few weeks to get her back in shape for longer walks or hikes. She would love a fenced yard to run in and would be great with a fur brother or sister. She has not been cat tested. She is being fostered in Lake City, Fl and her adoption fee is $200. **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.com** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved.
