About Sliver

Sliver is a 2 or 3 year old pit bull/lab mix. She is very playful and needs a home where she will have a fenced yard to run and play in. She is looking for her forever home because her current owner is unable to afford to care for her due to his failing health. Sliver will need a home where she is the the only animal because she is aggressive towards other animals, especially cats. She was started, but she is NOT fully leashed trained. She is house broken and will only be rehomed to a place where she will be an inside dog with access to outside; and again, a fenced yard is required. Please be aware that the photo you see listed with her is an old photo, she is NOT that small!! Sliver would do best in a quiet environment as she can sometimes get nervous around lots of noise or a lot of people, so no more than 2 or 3 people around her at a time is best. She is at risk of being euthanized because of her current owner's health. Sliver is also NOT recommended to be in a home with children due to her somewhat anxious behavior and because she is rowdy. She loves to have chew toys and she possibly has separation anxiety because if she's left alone for too long and you don't provide her with chew toys or something to do, she will engage in destructive behavior such as chewing furniture. As per Rescue Me's terms and conditions, rescued/adopted animals are not permitted to be bred, so any animals I've listed must be spayed/neutered after adoption.
