Introducing Rosie. This beauty came to us from another rescue along with her litter of newborn kittens. Now that Rosie's kittens have been adopted and she's been spayed, it's time for her to find her forever home. Rosie is a young adult, about 2 years old. She is a curious girl who always greets her foster mom at the door when she gets home. Rosie enjoys playing with toys, likes to rub her face in catnip, and really loves Churu and canned food. When Rosie is in the mood for love, she is really sweet. However, she can be a bit of a diva, and only wants pats on her terms. She is usually Ok with pats on her back and shoulders, but Rosie seems to be sensitive about handling near her face. She seems uneasy if you reach for her head. We don't know much about Rosie's history so we suspect that she wasn't handled appropriately or gently prior to her rescue. Rosie likes to be with her people, but she prefers to sit next to you on the couch to watch TV rather than sitting on your lap. Although Rosie has been around other cats and may be Ok in a home with existing felines if she is introduced slowly and properly, her ideal home may be one where she's the only pet. She's quite independent and seems happy to have some space. She would do just fine being in a home with someone who works during the day, leaving the home for several hours. Rosie is uncomfortable with fast and sudden movements and if you frighten her she could try to nip or swat. It's important that her new family is cat-savvy and can closely watch her body language to understand which things make her comfortable and uncomfortable while they're getting to know her. She will not be the right cat for a first-time cat owner. A quiet, adult-only home is a must for Rosie.
