American Staffordshire Terrier mix

Meet Chestnut! Hi there! My name is Chestnut, and I'm a 10-week-old male Terrier mix puppy who's ready to be the missing puzzle piece in your family. I'm cheerful, carefree, and full of energy, always looking for my next adventure! I recently made a big journey from Texas to my foster family's home, and I'm still getting used to the cold. Sometimes I'm a little hesitant to go outside when it's chilly, but I'm adapting day by day. At my foster home, I live with two teenagers and have also done great with younger children (ages 4-8) who visited for a few days. I love playing with my littermate-we roughhouse and explore the backyard together. I already know a few commands, like 'sit,' 'no,' 'potty,' and 'treat.' I get excited easily and may jump on you, but it's just my playful nature-I calm down quickly with a little attention. I'm doing well with potty training and use pee pads when necessary. Since I'm still a puppy, I have occasional accidents if I'm not taken out frequently, but I'm learning fast! I'm also crate-trained-I happily go into my crate at bedtime and even enjoy naps there as long as I have a soft blanket to snuggle up with. When I'm not chasing down balls or exploring, I love curling up on the couch next to my foster family for some cuddles. My curiosity keeps me alert-I'll pop up from a nap if I think something exciting is happening without me! My foster family adores me, but they know I'm ready to find my forever family-one that can match my energy and help me grow into the best pup I can be. Could that be you?
