Update 12/8/24: Teddy is doing well and is reported to be healthy. They are working on housebreaking but tell us they're having some difficulty because of his sight. He has had one eye removed but still has his other eye. Name: Teddy Age: Unknown Breed: Pug (estimated 10 - 12 pounds) Sex: Male (not neutered) Location: Webb County, TX Teddy is an adorable little boy whose caregiver saved him from a friend who was taking him to the shelter. She has had him for about six months and because she has limited resources, she is desperately hoping to find him the medical support he needs. Vet Info: Teddy is not neutered or current with vaccines. He has not had a heartworm test. Dog Info: Teddy is an indoor dog with run of the house. He is not housebroken or leash trained. Teddy's caregiver tells us he is good with people of all ages, and is not possessive of toys, treats, or food. She gave us more information about how he is with other dogs: 'He is good with male dogs. I don't have female dogs. I'm not sure how he would react but he's very friendly and sociable with anyone when we have taken him to the local dog park.' Teddy's caregiver tells us his visual impairment is new and she is unsure of the cause, but that he is adapting and currently on antibiotics. Other than that, she tells us his health is good. She writes, 'There was no other indications of other issues as per vet. We are administering antibiotic and drops in hope of saving one of his eyes. There is some irritation left eye.' Please note we will ask for a vet reference. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
