About Kyp

KYP is a handsome 2 year old, 25.2 pound mixed breed dog who was adopted from us as a puppy and recently surrendered back due to a change in living and financial situation. Kyp is an active, outgoing, playful boy. He can be a little hesitant around new people at first, but he has a sweet personality and warms up quickly. He loves attention and will nuzzle his foster mom's arm until she lifts it up and he can squirm underneath for hugs. Kyp is high energy and loves to play, both with his person and with other dogs. He especially loves to play with our doodle Raji, who he is being fostered with. Kyp can be a barker when he is excited and rarely sits still. His new home should have an active dog or an active family or person to wear him out! He would be great for someone looking for a buddy to take on adventures! He's always curious about things that are happening around him. Kyp absolutely needs to have a home with a fenced yard so he can run and explore and burn off some energy. He needs some work on potty training and knows how to use a dog door. He walks on a leash but he is easily distracted and needs some more work on that too. At night he sleeps in the big bed with his foster family and foster siblings. Kyp has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about KYP: We have not had him around kids or cats. If there are children in the home they should be older and bigger kids since he is active and strong. We have a pretty good feeling that he would chase cats!
