Please meet Stitch. HE IS A HEALTHY 5-YEAR OLD BEAGLE/POINTER MIX DOG WHO IS IN NEED OF A FAMILY...Here is our story . my biggest addiction is empathy, and it's very hard for me to turn my back on a dog. I've been trying to curtail rescuing, because I was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago. I actually had surgery September 4th and was in the hospital for 2 months due to complications and infections. Stitch was adopted when he was a few months old and was raised by a family with 2 cats and 3 kids, where he lived happily until recently. Unfortunately, things changed as this family split up and since then his life has been very sad. His owner is struggling to keep up with the bills and is having to work a lot more and even considered sending him back to a shelter, but didn't do it because he really wants Stitch to have a happy life once more. However, the reatlty is that Stitch currently spends 12-14 hours or more home alone, without being able to go out, play or do exercise. While he's home alone he constantly gets excited when he hears noises, as he believes it's someone coming to take him out for a walk. Stitch should be in a home with some space to play and run outdoors as he is a high energy dog. He was trained and can even answer to some voice commands. He just wants love. He is dog and cat friendly, but usually get overexcited when first meeting. He loves to be taken to walk and behaves well on his leash. Big fireworks celebrations scare him because of the intense noise. He currently weighs 40 lb. He has a sweet, loving disposition. He does like to play, run and walk. He does like to sleep and relax. My goal is to make sure I get Stitch the home that he needs with someone who will love him and give him all the care and attention and affection that he deserves for the rest of his life and be able to be committed to him physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. I have made the commitment to Stitch to make sure I find him the opportunity to find the right home he needs and deserves. My promise to him now is to make sure I find him the best forever home with one who will love him for the many years he has ahead ...an individual or family who will continue to let me know how wonderfully he is doing. Stitch will be your best friend. Will you be his?? I am looking to find the perfect person/couple/family that will give him as much as he deserves. He is neutered and microchipped (AND MICROCHIP WILL REMAIN IN MY NAME INDEFINITELY...CAN EXPLAIN WHEN WE SPEAK), heartworm negative & on heartworm & flea/tick prevention & if u adopt him you MUST keep him on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
