About Valentine

With his huge heart-shaped head, we had to name him Valentine! He was found injured on the side of a country road and seems to have had some rough times in his past. Look at his sweet eyes! He is a big 75 lb dog that needs to gain another 8 lbs or so. Valentine is sweet with people, but needs a little extra time when meeting a male. He is politely curious of other dogs through the fence, but he does not know how to play appropriately, so he really can't be loose around other dogs! He's okay on a leash with some space. He seemed good with puppies, but probably best if he is in a one dog family. He appears to have been kept in a cage most his life, so he missed that formative period when dogs learn to play. An experience dog owner might be able to work with him on it and integrate him in with another dog. Let us know if you are interested in adopting this sweet, affectionate dog! He is a snuggle boy! He is housebroken, but is fine sleeping in his dog bed in the garage. He likes to fetch the ball, and he loves a walk! A great companion dog!
