We took her in as was abandoned along with 3 teenage kids by guardian grandmother. She was kept inside basically protecting grandmother, not leash trained but let outside on rope to potty and get some sun. Was neglected for vaccinations. Despite having concerns re pit mix she had acclimated to us and our family well. Knows basics commands is house broken very cuddly and loving with us but not our 13 yr old lab mix who gets along well with most dogs . She was never around other pets so needs training for this and would need a fenced yard as she chases rabbits and squirrels. My husband has managed to leash train her and despite his arthritis takes her out on 1 mile walks 2x daily. We are getting ready to go south in a small camper by Christmas . We are not strong enough to keep or train her further. We have been trying to find a home or no kill shelter for the past month for her with no takers. Our last resort is turn her over to Animal Control who told us they will have to put her down b/c lack of staff to train her. She's too loving of a dog to put down but we have run out of time. We could donate $ 500 towards her care if you could take her
