About Missy

Little Missy was abandoned by her owner near a house known to rescue dogs in Houston, TX She was very scared, not socialized, and very thin with a sparse coat, and a wound on her leg. The Finder reached out to a Rescuer who has fostered for us many times. We decided to take this little baby girl in. Missy was in the best of care with two fosters who shared the time and care until she was ready for her flight to Baltimore, MD. Missy has blossomed in our care surrounded by many other dogs. She has gained some weight and is now at a perfect weight at 7 lbs. She is about 1 1/2 years old. Her coat has grown in and now looks like a real Pomeranian. Missy was born with only one functioning eye, the right one never developed fully. That that doesn't slow her down. She is a little firecracker! She is spayed, already had a dental to clean her teeth and remove some baby teeth that didn't fall out on their own. She is also micro-chipped. Missy is a super-sweet love bug once she feels safe with her humans. She is a bit fearful and shy, and will take a little time to warm up to new people and getting used to a new home and routine. She has no aggression despite being fearful. Missy LOVES to play with all dog every size and age. She is very playful, and not only enjoys playing with dogs, but also with her toys tossing them around to fetch them again. She loves to cuddle and snuggle with her humans. This little girl is the best kisser and will try to lay one on you whenever she can. She really is the sweetest little girl and just as cute as a button. Missy enjoys going for her walkies and going for a car ride without any issues. She is almost fully house-trained with supervision. She will use pee pads and will have an occasional accident.
