Star is a gorgeous blue-nose gray, apx 55 lbs, and believed to be about 4 y/o who was slated for euthanasia in a NC shelter because she was exhibiting kennel stress in the over-crowded shelter environment. A rescue was able to step in and whisk her out in the nick of time but she has bounced between temp fosters ever since. Here's what her current foster parent says - 'Star is very sweet, easy to handle, and knows basic commands. She is house/crate trained and enjoys gentle play with other social/respectful dogs (submissive or non-Alpha personalities). She loves to go on walks, but does pull a bit so a fenced yard would be ideal (but not required). We think this poor girl may have been abused in the past because she sometimes flinches/cowers at quick motions and loud talking/yelling. Please be gentle and take it one step at a time with her and I promise she will fill your days with endless snuggles, exciting playfulness, and unwavering love and loyalty!' Now she is again urgent because she's in a tiny foster home with other animals and, like many pups, she has a prey-drive and wants to get at the cats and guinea pigs - so NO CATS for this girl. The spot she is taking up is also desperately needed to help save another pup currently facing euthanasia. ********* PLEASE if you can help FOSTER or ADOPT (or foster-to-adopt) Star, text/call Aly at 732-604-0625 ASAP or submit an inquiry ASAP if you can help this sweet girl! ***** Star is currently located in central NC where she was saved but transport can be arranged to wherever the foster/adopter is located (or reasonably nearby). We have plenty of photos and videos of her playing with other dogs that we can share with you! Thank you for caring about a pet in urgent need. (3
