Please help us find a good home or foster and rescue for this handsome fella the shelter has named Thunder and is a perfectly sized male chow mix who may also have some shepherd in him, due to his beautiful coloring. Sadly, he was found as a stray and his owner never came. Thunder is estimated to be 2 years young and has nice behavior notes. These include, ' 12/03/2024Took out for M&G; Easy to pull from kennel. In PY K9 showed no interest in PAs, handler, treats and toys. K9sniffed around during the duration of the M&G. Urinated and defecated in yard. On return, Handler needed to step inside of kennel to return K9. Used clip leash to remove and return. 11/27/2024Dog was at front of kennel, wagging tail. When handler presented leash, dog began repeatedly pawing at it, making leash placement difficult. Handler was able to place leash via looping over top of dog's head. Dog exited kennel calmly. Walked with minimal pull, no reaction to passing dogs. In yard, dog mostly kept to self, low interest in handler. Explored surroundings. Took a few treats gently but not much interest in them. Tolerated petting on back and top of head, did not actively seek attention. Dog walked mostly loose leash back to kennel building.'
