NALA, AND THEIR 5 YOUNG PUPPIES ARE RESCUE ONLY, BUT THE DAD MAY BE ADOPTED, ALTHOUGH LIKELY ALSO NEEDS RESCUE- FOSTER AND OR RESCUE NEEDED ASAP FOR THIS MOMMA AND PUPPIES. Please see our separate post for just Dad Please help us find a patient foster and or rescue asap for this dire situation. Nala was sadly dumped with FIVE - 1 week old puppies, and also found with a male adult chow believed to be the father. Simba can be adopted, while Momma Nala and her puppies are Rescue only due to them not being weaned. Nala is estimated to be only 2 years old, and while she is in a desperate situation having to take care of young pups after being left to starve, she still allows touching, and is very food motivated understandably. The shelter gave us nice video showing her being pet and taking care of her adorable puppies. Due to her nursing, she has not been dog tested with other dogs, but was found with her male friend Sadly, though, this entire chow family may be at risk for euthanasia soon due to lack of space and high intake. Momma and her puppies must go through a rscue group as the are Rescue only. Therefore, if you are interested to foster momma with puppies (and even Dad if you can), please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with their placement, so we can try to pair you with a rescue to help.
