About PEANUT

PEANUT is a sweet 4 year old, 20 pound Chihuahua mix. He was adopted from us as a puppy but returned due to a change in his owners' living arrangements. PEANUT has been with his family his whole life so this change had him a little nervous at first and he was very clingy with his foster mom. It only took him a short time to relax though and now that he has settled in, he likes belly rubs and attention and being part of a family with love, food and treats, and daily activities. He is going to be best in a home where he can spend a lot of time with his people. Peanut is energetic and enjoys playing with other dogs and toys and has fun roaming the yard. He is great with other dogs and would be happiest with a dog companion in his new home. He walks well on a leash and likes to go for car rides. A fenced yard would be best for him but the bottom of the fence needs to be secured as he will dig out. Peanut is mostly house trained and only had a couple of accidents in the very beginning (his foster home doesn't have a doggie door like he used to). At night, Peanut sleeps in the big bed with his person and his foster fur siblings. PEANUT has had a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about PEANUT: He pays no attention to the cat in his foster home and will probably be good with older kids. He may let out a bark or two, but he is pretty quiet with good manners. He minds well, comes when called, and goes out when prompted.
