About PEANUT

PEANUT is a sweet 4 year old, 20 pound Chihuahua mix. He was adopted from us as a puppy but returned due to a change in his owners' living arrangements. PEANUT's foster dad says he is a perfect gentleman! He loves to be petted and literally just chill. He likes belly rubs and attention and being part of a family with love, food and treats, and daily activities. He is going to be best in a home where he can spend a lot of time with his people. Peanut is energetic and enjoys playing with other dogs and toys and has fun roaming the yard. He is great with other dogs (small and large) and would be happiest with a dog companion in his new home. He walks well on a leash and likes to go for car rides. A fenced yard would be best for him. The prior owners mentioned that he would dig out but we have not had any of those same issues with him. Still it should be a very secure fence and someone should keep an eye on him until he has adjusted. Peanut is mostly house trained and only had a couple of accidents in the very beginning when he was in a foster home didn't have a doggie door. In his current foster home he lets himself out through the dog door whenever he needs to go out. At night, Peanut sleeps in the big bed with his person and his foster fur siblings. PEANUT has had a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about PEANUT: He pays no attention to the cat in his foster home and will probably be good with older kids. He may let out a bark or two, but he is pretty quiet with good manners. He minds well, comes when called, and goes out when prompted.
