About Munchie

LONG TERM FOSTER NEEDED BY 2.24.25 Munchie is a 9 year old male Tabby Calico mix. He was adopted at 9 weeks old and has been with his momma his whole life. She passed away and this lonely boy needs a new family to love. He will be shy and standoffish at first in any new environment and around new people. After he has had time to adjust you will find Munchie to be a friendly and playful boy. His is also quite affectionate and very talkative. Although he is an indoor cat, the home had a screened in porch added just for the cats and Munchie loves being outside. When the weather was nice and the windows were open, you could also often see him laying in the window sill. However, he is to be an indoor only pet. He is litter box trained. A few years ago, Munchie had a broken blood vessel between the inner and outer skin of his right ear flap. It had to be drained and repaired causing the ear flap to become crimped. His ear flap is there, it just cannot stand up. Otherwise his ear is fine and has had no other problems. Munchie had a mass on his chest that was recently removed. The biopsy shows that the mass was cancerous. The type of cancer he has is non metastisizing, but it could return in the same area it was. As a result, we have decided to look for a hospice foster - a family to love him and care for him as if he was adopted, but the rescue will cover his veterinary expenses in the future. Munchie has fully recovered from surgery and his fur is growing back. He is playing, running, and jumping like before. He requires no medication or treatment. Someone is caring for him in his home, but the house is being sold and he needs to find a new home by February 25, 2025. He is a sweet boy that will be a loving pet for his new family.
