About Malie

Howdy yall. So we rescued a beautiful Malinois that was literally pulled out of the back seat of a truck and tossed in the ditch over by my work. This has been a couple of months back now, but i watched this happen right in front of me. SOME PEOPLE!!!! Anyway she's a sweet cuddlebug of a dog but she IS reactive. If you startle her or accidentally step on her or something her first reaction is with her mouth. She is good with dogs her size but she is hit or miss on smaller dogs. Also the only interaction she has had with our cat was NOT positive. She is a big girl around 70-75 lbs or so. Super smart and high energy/focused. Totally wants to please you and has been easily trainable with treats. I would love love love to be the one that gives her the second chance she deserves, but i think she needs / deserves more than i can provide for her. She needs a home where she can be the center of attention and has the opportunity to get more outside/exercise time. She loves the dog park and is ready to walk once she has a chance to calm down a little. She would be perfect for a young outdoorsy couple with experience training dogs with her kind of drive. This wonderful girl is NOT for the meek. She is house trained and sleeps in her crate at night but would much rather 'share' the bed with you. She took to the basics really well (sit stay, lay down) She has had all her shots and is on Simparico Trio for flee, ticks, and other bitey bugs. She IS also heartworm positive but the Simparico is working on that. Please, please, please help me find her a loving home. Anything you can do to help is appreciated. I feel like I've failed to give her the second chance she truly deserves.
