If you can foster or adopt please text Kat 516 457-3678 Below is Winston's post on Facebook , breaks my heart . Let's keep him out of the shelter and get him that loving home which this sweetheart truly deserves . Here is the Plea %BD'%BD|For those of you who follow the Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) Facebook page, you probably remember Winston. CPAA posted him a few weeks back with a plea for someone to open their home and heart to foster or adopt him to get him out of the kennel, where he has resided for ONE YEAR. Here's Winston's story. In December 2023, CPAA was asked, begged really, to pull Winston from death row at Philly ACCT for a woman who wanted to adopt him. So CPAA did. Within 36 hours, the woman told us it wasn't working. With no place for Winston to go, the kennel that CPAA works with said they had room for him. Despite numerous posts about Winston throughout the year, and posting him on PetFinder, there was no interest. Finally, at the end of October, prior adopters from CPAA's HOPE Dogs program offered to foster Winston. He was doing well in his foster home until a vet visit a few weeks ago at which it was discovered that he had an ear infection and a hot spot, both of which required medication. At the vet visit, Winston also got all of his vaccines updated. Winston clearly wasn't feeling his best after the vet visit, and when he got back to the foster's home, he growled at their six-year-old daughter, so back to the kennel he went. Since Winston has been back, he hasn't been doing well. Despite working with one of CPAA's trainers several times each week, he's having a hard time re-adjusting to kennel life. Heck, wouldn't you if you had been in a home for almost a month, then landed back in a kennel? WE ARE BEGGING for someone to give Winston a chance. Here's the unicorn we're looking for: 1. A quiet home where Winston will be able to decompress and re-adjust to life in a home. 2. A home with no small children. 3. A home with no other dogs or with one dog maximum. 4. A home with someone patient and willing to work with Winston and CPAA's trainer to re-acclimate him to life in a home. If you are reading this and answered yes to these questions please consider giving this sweet boy a chance , you can even foster him first , he surely will steal your heart ! This is a sweet boy !!! Has to be somebody out there !! Please text Kat 516 457-3678 if you can help To apply foster Winston, go to https://www.centralpaanimalalliance.org/foster-application. If you foster, CPAA pays for all vet care, supplies, food, and training. To apply to adopt Winston, go to https://www.centralpaanimalalliance.org/apply-to-adopt.
