About Lazlo

This post is going out with a prayer that somebody sees this and saves sweet Lazlo. He was saved from being euthanized and the foster has had him for several months . I have seen all the videos and he is such a beautiful angel . The foster can no longer keep him and believes Lazlo will do even better in a country setting not the city where he lives . Below is the bio from the foster all about this cutie . Once Lazlo warms up to you he is such a sweet baby as you can see in all these pictures . He loves other dogs small and big . If you can foster or adopt please text Kat 516 457-3678 and we can arrange for you to meet him . Our goal is to keep Lazlo out of the shelter where they are euthanizing daily for space . Here is his bio from the foster Lazlo is a 5ish year old dog weighing about 15 lbs. He has a medium energy level, is housebroken, and walks great on a leash. He's extremely loyal and will follow you from room to room. He does not require crating when left alone and does not have separation anxiety. He gets along well with both dogs and cats. He loves riding in the car, chewing on his bones, chasing a ball, and just being outside. Lazlo is a reactive dog. He requires a period to warm up and trust you. He accepts scratches under the chin readily and will climb up on your lap/seek out affection. I've done a lot of training to lower his response levels - he will give you a warning growl if he feels uncomfortable. He was likely kicked and hit with objects as a puppy, as he does not play with toys (other than a tennis ball). He tolerates a bath but does not like to be dried with a towel (I manage a few swipes and then let him roll around on an old blanket). He's very protective of me, and he is going to need a home outside the city to be safe... he has a bite history and he has reacted to strangers on busy city streets. He takes anxiety medication daily, and this will need to be continued. Overall, Lazlo is a handsome, funny, loyal dog. I truly wish I could keep him forever, but he deserves a chance to live in a peaceful environment.
