About Luke

Luke is happy, smart, and loving pit bull/Labrador retriever mix. He is a healthy 75 pounds and had his most recent vet exam in November 2024. Luke's perfect day is running in grass, playing fetch, then sleeping for hours somewhere soft. Luke is a sucker for soft blankets, beds, and pillows. Luke is 6-1/2 years old and I adopted him from a shelter when he turned 5. Luke is selectively reactive to dogs, especially when he is surprised by one, say around a blind corner while on a walk. It is imperative that his new owner understands reactive behavior in dogs and can love him regardless, while keeping him and other dogs safe. He is a happy angel with all people he has met and all dogs he has been carefully introduced to. His pit bull 'sister' adores Luke. I am working on muzzle training Luke while actively seeking a better home for him out of the city. A big suburban yard, securely fenced, or a rural property (fenced) is what Luke needs.
