About TESSA

Beautiful Tessa needs an extremely loving and furever home.She is a 9yr old Wooly Malamute. She currently lives in Rio Rancho, NM. Once her coat grows back fully, it will be much longer. She loves people, but needs to be in a cat-free home. Experience with Malamutes is necessary. She is currently staying with a very loving and accommodating neighbor but they already have two dogs and Tessa has been staying with them for several weeks due to Dan's hospitalization. I cannot have her as I already have husky/malamute that is almost 12 yrs old in too small of a house. She is a loving girl who loves leash walks, her best doggy friends, couch slumbering and snacks. Her coat is short right now as she needed to be shaved due to matting. It will be much longer when it fully grows back. The only reason Tessa is in need of a new home is because her daddy, my former husband, passed this last Sunday 11/17/24, due to stage 4 lung cancer. She loves to hang out in a safe, fully fenced yard. She is learning her basic commands and is slowly working up to longer walks after limited activity and weight gain. Her temperament is sweet and gentle with just enough northern breed stubborn streak. Tessa is not experienced with children. She really needs an extra loving human companion. I love her. She is incredibly lovable - all 110 lbs of her. Transport can be provided.
