Meet Sushi! She was found abandoned in an apartment complex in early October and is looking for her forever home. We think she's either a Manx or Domestic Bobtail and is around 8 months old. She is the sweetest little kitty and is as happy as can be. She loves to play, watch Cat TV, follow you around and see what you're up to, and of course, sleep. She likes to cuddle but her favorite spot is behind or above your head. Sushi is still learning the ropes on how to be an indoor kitty but she's adjusted well! Because of her breed, she is missing a tail which causes her to have a funny walk and hop like a bunny when she runs. The neurologist thinks she could have Manx syndrome but she has no issues running, jumping, or playing! She is up to date on all of her shots and will be spayed in early December. Note: she is currently peeing outside of the litter box. We've got her on antibiotics, gabapentin, and are working through all of the behavioral elements now. The vet thinks we'll see an improvement after her spay but it is important to know some cats with Manx syndrome can struggle with incontinence. I can't officially rule that out but she seems VERY aware that she is peeing outside of the litter (cats, am I right?!) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed there isn't any incontinence. However, anyone interested should know she may need extra care if incontinence is in the mix.
