About Smoky

SMOKY is a 12 week old mixed breed puppy surrendered from a bad situation with a large group of other puppies who were living under a house. He is the biggest of the puppies at 11.2 pounds and should be a medium sized dog fully grown. Smoky's parents are unclear. There were three mama dogs and between them they had 16 puppies living under a house. SMOKY is the ring leader of the group! His foster brother and sister follow him as he goes on adventures. He loves to wrestle and play with his brother and sister and when tired will snuggle up in your lap. He is a brave, curious boy who would love a home with a playmate and will be good with big and small dogs. He would also love some kids to play with! He is currently in the puppy chewing stage and likes to dig but he can be re-directed to an appropriate toy or task. His foster mom is working with him on potty pad training and he is doing well. He has a puppy pen to keep him and his littermates safe when they cannot be supervised and for sleeping at night. (We always recommend a puppy pen if you have a puppy in your home!) SMOKY has been to the vet for a wellness check, has had all of his puppy shots, is neutered, fecal tested and wormed, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments and dogs with behavioral issues are local adoption only. We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit.
