About Abby

Abby is an 11 year-old, black, 18 pound Havanese with a good disposition. My parents died and left me their dog. My girlfriend is allergic, Abby has never bitten anyone. Accidents on the carpet are rare. I've left her alone in the house for as long as 5 or 6 hours with no accidents. She shares the backyard with cats, but it's not without complaint. No harm has come to either animal. The cats know Abby is not dangerous, and will not always run away. Much sniffing then follows. I'm uncertain how she will do with other dogs. Probably tolerable. She eats only kibble (3/4 cup chicken and sweet potato) and any flavor of Cesar wet dog food. (1/5 of a package) Abby takes Cosequin chewable tablets for joint health. Her joint health is excellent. Abby will beg for a Dentastix treat, but understand what 'no' means. I sometimes add the words 'too soon.' I usually sing 'no' in a musically, cartoonish, ghostly manner, and she understands that.
