About Dusty

Dusty is a 2-year-old Plott/black and tan coonhound. Outdoors, she has a strong prey drive and a big beautiful coonhound voice. She loves being outside and is constantly 'nose to the ground'. Dusty is out of bear-hunting dog lines. When in the house, she is the most loving dog. She loves to cuddle in bed or on the couch and is always asking for more attention with a gentle pat of her paw. Dusty gets along wonderfully with our four-year-old male dog, Frank. I believe that she would get along with most other (medium/large) dogs if introduced properly and with enough time. She also behaves amazingly with our 8mo old niece and 3 year old nephew - even when they pull her ears. We have been working with Dusty on leash pulling and leash reactivity towards other dogs. Dusty would do well at a rural home or even on a farm. She would love to be able to explore the woods. Hound experience is a plus. Located near Eau Claire, WI.
