Our 3 year old (born 9-7-21) Smoky is a purebred, wonderful, high energy Aussie. He has classic Aussie traits: playfulness, loyalty, expressive eyes and expressions, wicked intelligent, and overall a great dog to have. We have his breeding papers annd everything - the guy comes from award-winning sires and has no genetic issues. Our issue is that we moved from a ranch property into a track home, and Smoky would do better with owners that can let him get all of his energy out. We had our first child this year, and while Smoky has been curious and gentle about the baby, it means that we don't have the time to dote on him, and he can be a Velcro dog. It's really sad because we love him, and we want him to be where he is going to thrive. He has a strong herding instinct and can learn property boundaries quickly. I'm not a dog trainer and I was able to teach him the boundaries for our old property in literally 30 minutes. Please consider adopting Smoky from us if you have the ability to care for him the way he deserves. We believe he would do best in a home without young children, because like I said, he has a strong herding instinct.
