Meet Ellie, a brave and loving dog who's ready to find her forever home. Rescued on November 16th from a heartbreaking situation, Ellie spent most of her days locked in a cage. In her desperation to escape, she lost her front teeth. Despite her past, Ellie's resilience and sweet nature are shining through as she heals. She's doing well on a diet of half-soft food and half-kibble, and she seems to thrive with this balance. Ellie is recovering beautifully from fleas and infections and is up to date on her vaccinations. Her heartworm and fecal tests are negative, and her spay appointment is set for December 10th. She does best in a home without larger or dominant dogs, as she has a tendency to try to herd them, which can lead to tension. While she enjoys walks and is curious about other dogs, she'd thrive as the only dog or with calm, non-dominant companions. Currently, Ellie stays in a heated garage for safety, but she longs to be inside with her people. Her back and tail are healing wonderfully, and she's on antibiotics to help with the process. If you're ready to offer Ellie the safe, loving home she deserves, she could be the loyal and affectionate companion you've been searching for. Reach out to learn more and see her photos!
