I rescued her about 6/7 yrs ago. Vet guessed she was around 4 at the time. She's spayed. She was abused when I got her. She's been an inside dog going out into fenced back yard. She is healthy, affectionate, very smart, and very grateful and happy. But she has triggers I've observed through the years that I've been able to work around and avoid her being aggressive with my other dogs, my oldest dog is 18, 14, and younger. Food, toys, her ,or any other pet bed she may want. If any dog even curls a lip complains, misty will attack. Yesterday she tried to rip the throat out of my 14 yr st poodle which I've had since 9 weeks old. Never ok once in the years She's been with us, have I ever had any concern with her with my other dogs in the back yard. But yesterday, if I had not heard the commotion for another 2 minutes, my poodle would have killed. I couldn't get my hound to release my other dog. I had to grap her collar and restrict air flow to get her to release. My other dog has puncture in underside in of throat. She's going to recover. I've had to muzzle misty any time she goes past other dogs to go in backyard alone. She tried again last night to attack and again this morning. I am thinking she was wanting to play with my poodle and when she was met with a growl to stop, that's all it took. I've always been there to diffuse other potential situations but I wasn't outside yesterday when the attack began. Misty needs a home with no other animals. She's been wonderful with us and my grands. I love her very much and never want her or another animal and family to go through that. I also don't want her living her life in a pen or being abused for her behavior.
