About Bizzy

BIZZY is a 10 year old, 12.2 pound Maltipoo that came to us from another rescue. He was briefly adopted by one of our volunteers who returned him because they were concerned with the grumbling that he does to tell you when he doesn't like something, like being made to go out in the rain or having a treat taken away. BIZZY is a very active boy for an older dog. Obviously, no one gave him the memo about being 10! He is sweet and friendly with people he knows, but takes a minute to adjust to a new person. He is not a fan of being picked up without warning and may growl a little if startled, but he doesn't do anything more than vocalize. He loves attention and adorably 'begs' with his front paws when he wants to be picked up or when he wants a treat. Bizzy likes toys and will chase one if you throw it. He is good with other dogs and would be fine in a home with other dogs, big or small. He would also probably be fine as an only dog in the right home. Bizzy hasn't figured out how to use a doggy door yet and is mostly housebroken. He walks on a leash and would be fine without a fenced yard. At night, he sleeps on a trundle bed with a blanket. Bizzy has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, had a dental cleaning, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He is local adoption only. MORE about BIZZY: He is not a barker and would be a good apartment dog. He cannot be crated without physically harming himself. No kids, cats are an unknown. If he doesn't want to do something and you push him to do it, he might grumble at you. He's an older boy looking for a calm, loving home!
