About River Dancer

Meet River Dancer (aka River, Old Man River). This little heartbreaker came to FTO from North Carolina after Helene did it's number and has left the breeding life behind. River is an 11 year young, 16 pound Lhasa Apso. River has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vetting. He did have a bunch of teeth removed and only has one molar left. He has been eating canned food but has started snagging kibble out of his foster siblings' bowls when he wants a snack. River does 'okay' on a leash. He does lift his leg once in a while in the house but that has definitely decreased since he was neutered. His greatest joys are being around people, his foster pups and belly rubs. He doesn't chase the cats and is even allowing the big cat (25 lbs.) to head butt him now. River spends a lot of time sleeping and following the living, both fuzzy and human, when he's not. He will also cuddle up to humans and any foster pup who will let him. He is very quiet when he moves so he is pretty stealthy getting underfoot. River acclimated very well to living with the fosters. River sleeps in a crate all night and will sometime play with toys if it's just the right one. He definitely needs to be in a home with other dogs or an extremely attentive owner.
