About Triscuit

MEET TRISCUIT! Please read this entire Bio carefully before making a decision to adopt Triscuit! Especially the content with * marks. Basic info: Male - neutered Age 3 (dob 3/2021) Mini Poodle (apricot and white color) Weight: 19 lbs *Fenced Yard - required* Leash walking - GREAT! Companionship - likes dogs, cats, kids, people Car Rides - GREAT! Triscuit is doing great in his current foster home. Originally a commercial breeding facility stud dog, he was rescued and brought to FREEdom Tails Ohio in 2022. Here is the most important info - Triscuit has been adopted and returned twice. His current foster parent believes that his energy level and need for companionship were the main factors. He was also on anti-anxiety meds, which were immediately stopped and have not been needed since. His energy level is easily managed with letting him run in the yard and taking several walks daily (short 15 minute walks throughout the day, and a longer walk in the afternoon). His companionship needs are also met with a dog or 2 in the house (they often get the zoomies and then curl up and nap together) and with a human (or 2 or 3 or more) that is in the home more often than not. He is house trained and has had very few accidents since the 1st day in this foster home. He sleeps on the couch or in a tiny dog bed (for some reason), and usually likes to have his people in view. The fenced yard is required for his outside zoomies - also every once in awhile (1-2x daily) he likes to play 'come and get me' before going into the house. Zoom zoom zoom and then 'here I am sitting near the fence, come get me and I'll trot alongside you to go into the house!' He also loves squeaker toys and hard chew sticks. Triscuit was just groomed and got an A+ report for his behavior. Not too many rescue dogs pass the grooming test! *The best adoption scenario for Triscuit is a fenced yard, owner(s) who are home a lot, a friendly dog or 2 to bond with, and lots of walks in the neighborhood.
