Piper is a loving, calm, and friendly dog. She only wants to feel safe and protected. She loves people, children, snuggles, food, and treats. All the treats. She would thrive in a home that has a 'safe place' for her. She is crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She loves to play with dogs that have a 'non threatening' demeanor. She prefers male dogs. Piper loves car rides but likes shorter walks. Being far from home makes her anxious. Piper needs an owner with structure and will be present in her life. She is updated on all her vaccinations. Piper just wants to be loved. She is such a good and patient dog, especially with kids. I am absolutely devastated that I have to rehome her. The reason we need to find a better home for Piper is because our other dog has become aggressive towards her. There have been so many dog fights with multiple vet bills and an ER visit for me. We took the dogs to training and the trainer said they could help but couldn't guarantee that training would help our situation. All I know is if we do nothing one of our dogs is going to die. Piper is better with people and more adoptable than our other dog. This is why we have made the heartbreaking decisions to re-home Piper instead of our other dog. Our wish is for both dogs to live long and happy lives. We know that Piper can find a loving owner or family who will give her the security that we failed to provide.
