About Rowdy

Rowdy the Border Collie / Belgian Malinois is an energetic and highly intelligent dog. Rowdy is true to the breed's characteristics which are often recognized for their agility and working abilities. This 65lb, 10 month old pup thrives on daily mental and physical stimulation. Rowdy would excel in activities like running, playing, and participating in canine sports such as agility, obedience, and even protection work. His breeding is incredibly smart and responsive to training. Malinois are often used as working dogs in roles such as police work, military service, and search-and-rescue because of their trainability and drive to please their handlers. Rowdy has been part of a loving household for the first 10 months of his life sharing space with a family of 4, including 2 teenage boys. Rowdy is always excited when his people come home and it is the first to greet them at the door. Rowdy is looking for a new home that will allow him to utilize his full potential. Rowdy is excited to meet you. If you do get the chance to meet him, be prepared for an energetic and curious experience. You'll notice his keen intelligence and how he is quick to pick up on new commands or be interested in solving puzzles. Rowdy has some gaps in his training and will need time to adjust to his new home and schedule. Be ready to enjoy a smart, loyal, and spirited companion!
