About Max

Max is a very sweet dog with high energy. He is great with other dogs and kids but can be a little but clumsy around small children just because of his size. He is fully potty trained, kennel trained, neutered and UTD on all vaccinations. He thinks he likes to play with cattle and horses, but they do not like to play back. He has not been around many cats, so he chases them. He is a Houdini when it comes to chain link fences. He would do well in a home with a vinyl or wooden fence at least 6ft high. He won't jump a fence he can't see to the other side of. He loves to be inside with his people during the day and at night loves to curl up on the floor at the end of your bed. We have a huge backyard, but he continues to get out of the yard if he's not being watched like a hawk. We spend 90% of our time outside with him if he's not on his ariel troller runner. We live on a very busy road now, and he's nearly been hit 3 times this past month. The anxiety of him being a runner is too much. We've had Max for almost 7 years, and in the past 2 years he's just getting more determined to escape. He doesn't run far, but he won't just come home either unless he's close to home already and can hear you calling him. If it wasn't for his running, we wouldn't be listing him. He really is the sweetest dog. He's so great with kids, very gentle, even when getting treats from them. He does pull on his leash when you walk him, but he loves to go for walks and rides in the car.
