About Jay

DAYS IN RESCUE: 417 (Waiting over a year for a forever home! Jay was found as a stray in October 2023.) Jay is estimated to be 2/3 years old and is a neutered dutch mix. He is very much like a puppy, in that his ears and paws are just a little big too big for his body (but he is fully grown at 5lb) and he has lots of playful energy. His fosters have described him as goofy, curious and playful. His stand out quality is that he is PERFECTLY litter box trained. All bunnies can be litter box trained, but that usually still means 5-10 poops outside of the box per day. Not Jay, he rarely misses. His fosters even trust him on the couch and he has a soft dog bed, which we usually caution against as bunnies like to pee on soft things. His litter box habits are really next level. Jay is happiest when free roaming and hoping around doing zoomies on the couch. He hasn't shown any interest in chewing baseboards but has a tendency to try to nibble on things that are made of rubber (grooming gloves are his nemesis) and plastic. His ideal home would allow him to free roam all, or most, of the time and might have a small dog, cat or rabbit friend for him to play with but he's also happy alone if you are home most of the day.
