Thelma is a 3-year-old Schnauzer weighing 15 pounds. She was found late at night alongside a busy road with a very young female Schnauzer who is most likely her 1 year old daughter we named Louise. Thelma was extremely matted, dirty and had fleas, however she behaved well with a tedious grooming on intake even though scared to death. Once over her fear, Thelma has become a very social and loving dog. She gets along with all dogs she has been introduced to. She has not played with toys yet, but she does enjoy racing around the yard checking on the chicken run. She appears to be housebroken. She does well sleeping and eating in a kennel. She doesn't like to be without her human close but that is improving. She will make a wonderful family companion. Thelma has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms, and has been evaluated by a vet. If you can't wait to meet this special girl please put in an application found on our website PoquitaPawsrescue.org Her adoption fee is $300
