About Brooks

BROOKS is an 18 month old, 14 pound Yorkie mix who had been found as a stray. No owner came forward so he came to us to find his new home. Brooks is the most lovable dog! He is sweet and friendly and just wants to be close to his person. We don't think he was in a home where he was held much. He's a little unsure if you try to pick him up and hold him, like he's afraid you might drop him, but he loves to be next to you or in your lap. He's very considerate and will wait for you to invite him onto the couch and he will jump up and lie behind his foster mom in her office chair while she is working. Brooks was found with another dog and is good with the other small dogs in his foster home. He would do well in a home with another dogs, but we think he would chase a cat. Brooks is potty trained and walks well on a leash. Because he was found as a stray we would prefer that he has a home with a fenced yard. At night, he will cuddle up to your side and lay his head on your chest. In the morning he is so excited to see you his whole butt wiggles! BROOKS has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about BROOKS: While lying he will cross his front paws like a proper gentleman! We have not had him around children and do not know how he would react to them.
