**Please read fully before reaching out** Sushi is a neutered purebred Maine Coon Cat. He is a little over a year old (born September 2023). He's fully updated on vaccines, and I can give you the paperwork for that. He is also microchipped, and I'll give you the information to update that as well. He's absolutely beautiful with his yellow eyes, long whiskers, and super soft fur. He has the cutest little chirp meows. He loves people, if it's on his terms. He loves his toys and treats and any kind of food you will give him. He would absolutely love a feline friend that will actually play with him. The other cat in the home is old and doesn't love Sushi's attempts at playing with him. Now the downsides: - I adopted him from the shelter a few months ago. The shelter had shaved him, due to him coming in with matted fur and having poop stuck in his fur. Very shortly after bringing him home, he was diagnosed with a Mega Colon. The vet's initial response was to put him down. We received another opinion, and have been working on trying to manage it. For the most part, everything has been fine. He is on meds twice a day, and on a laxative (just miralax from the store). He also has to be on digestive care/high protein wet food, along with his dry food. Currently he is on Royal Canin Healthy Digestion in the morning, and Blissful Belly by Blue Buffalo at night. I mix the miralax in with that. As long as he has those, all his plumbing works normal. He does, every once in a while, have a softer poop which leaves residue on his bum. If you have another person, it's easy to clean it off. He doesn't love it, but it's doable. - Since he spent the first year of his life away from me, I'm not sure what happened to him as he grew up. He doesn't ALWAYS like people. Especially at first. He will try to bite you, and will likely succeed. He has only broken skin a couple of times. I don't know if this behavior stems from things that happened to him as a kitten, but just be aware of that. He will come with everything I have for him, minus the carrier. I have his wet food, his medicine (he has one refill left, and I will refill it for you before you pick him up if you'd like), and any toys that belong to him. I will be pretty picky on who he goes to, you must have experience with Maine Coon's. Preferably experience with Mega Colon's as well. And you must be financially able to afford the costs that will have to go towards his food and medicine (medicine is $48 a bottle but lasts about 2.5 months). I will be asking anyone who inquires a lot of questions to make sure it is a good fit. I want his next stop to be his last. If we decide that the fit is good, I will just give him to you. Please reach out to me with any questions you may have. I am located in North Ogden.
